COPA Island Ultra-Soft Foam Dressing manufactured by Kendall for Covidien, is a hydrophilic foam that is designed to protect wounds. Due to the pads composition of small pored foam, the risk of skin migrating and attaching to the pad is significantly decreased, healing the wound more efficiently, and preventing the reopening of the wound when the pad is removed. The pad also features a gentle adhesive that ensures a secure fit to cushion the wound.
